I really loved the song that played at the very end of Twilight. Having noticed that it wasn't on the soundtrack (who hasn't had it on repeat...), I stayed until the very end of the credits to find the title of the dong and I noticed there were other songs in the movie not on the soundtrack:

The Cat's Meow-Adam Smalley and Scott Johnson
15 Step-Radiohead (the kick-a song that I love)
Nature Within Us-Paul Meaney
Call me...(Not really sure-I can't remember the title and I can't find it online but it was in the credits! Anyone know what it is?)

But I did find a website that lists all of the music and their placement in the movie

Twilight

Now that's buying power.

A female-dominated audience drove Twilight's opening weekend to among the biggest in Hollywood history: a $70.6 million Friday-Sunday gross, per studio estimate.

"This is a game-changer. This is an industry-changing performance," Exhibitor Relations analyst Jeff Bock said today. "…With the success of Sex and the City, and Mamma Mia!, we've awoken a sleeping giant at the box office."

Exit polling showed 75 percent of Twilight's audience was female. Box-office stats show the movie is the biggest opener for a movie directed by a woman (Catherine Hardwicke).

The vampire romance also played well to the young—overall, 55 percent of ticketbuyers were under age 25.

More Twilight factoids, sequel news and other highlights from the weekend box office after the jump:

  • Going into the weekend, Twilight was expected to make, at best, a big $60 million. Where did the extra $10 million come from? Word of mouth, said Summit Entertainment distribution president Richie Fay, who talked of teen girls catching the Friday midnight screenings, and then deciding they had to see the movie again—and again. "It turned out they really liked the movie," Fay said.
  • Of the top 30 openers of all-time, of which Twilight is now one, only seven cost less than $100 million to produce. And only one, The Passion of the Christ, cost less than the $35 million Twilight.
  • If Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince had opened Friday, which, as its fans can attest, it didn't, then Twilight would have opened in December, and, Bock thinks, it would've opened smaller. With Potter around, he said, Twilight "just wouldn't have had the opportunity to open on as many theaters."
  • Thanks to Twilight, Hugh Jackman's unbeloved Van Helsing is no longer the top-opening vampire movie of all-time, per the stats at Box Office Mojo.
  • Twilight didn't just sell tickets; it sold tickets fast. At one point Friday, Fandango reported selling five Twilight tickets per second. (Fandango and E! Online are both owned by Comcast.)
  • So, when's the sequel opening? Fay said he guessed an official announcement, detailing a release date and principle players, could come this week.
  • For movies that weren't on Team Edward, dethroned champ Quantum of Solace ($27.4 million) and the debuting Bolt ($27 million) did okay.
  • On the upside, the latest James Bond is making money faster than the last James Bond, Casino Royale. Quantum's already made $109.5 million domestically.
  • On the downside, the new Bond is fading faster than the last Bond. Casino Royale only fell off 25 percent in its second weekend compared to Quantum's nearly 60 percent plunge.
  • Slumdog Millionaire is the one weekend movie that outdid Twilight. The India-set fantasy averaged an apparently weekend-best $31,063 at each of its 32 theaters.

Title: Corona
Author: Arre
Characters: All the originals, plus some new ones :-)
Rating: PG-13
Category: Romance, Action/Adventure
Spoilers: The story takes place after Breaking Dawn (ie: spoilers from all 4 Twilight books).

Summary:
This is the fanfiction I wrote, based on the Twilight series books. I tried to stay as true to the orignal ideas and intents of the story as I could. I feel that anyone can write a fanfiction, but it's a challenge to make it fit into the original story as seamlessly as possible, while still including my own personal "flare." With that said, I consider Corona the unofficial "fifth book" in the series (meaning it takes place after Breaking Dawn). I say this with the upmost respect for Stephenie Meyer and her work. This story is in honor of that work.

This story is written in a similar style to that of Breaking Dawn (meaning that it's broken up into 3 books: the first is told from Bella's perspective, the second from the perspective of another character, and the third is back to Bella).

Excerpt:

“Mommy?” Renesmee’s voice came from the back seat.
“Yes sweetie,” I answered.
“Why are you upset?” she asked.
“Just some things have me worried,” I answered, trying to sound reassuring.
Renesmee was quiet for a minute. “You know what, Mommy?” she asked.
“What honey?”
“Me, you and Daddy are together, aren’t we?”
“Yes baby,” I answered.
“Then everything will be alright,” she said with conviction.
I closed my eyes and smiled a little. What I wouldn’t give for child-like innocence and faith. Was I better off knowing the “grown up” things I did, or was she better off knowing the “simple” things she did?
Should I hold to her conviction that everything would be fine, or should I give into the worry that gripped me? The worry that had me feeling this wasn’t going to end well.

Summit Entertainment's low cost blockbuster Twilight opened huge as expected because of heavy pre-sales with $35.7M Friday. But early numbers show the front-loaded pic dropped a big but expected 40% to $22M Saturday. (Similarly front loaded Sex And The City also had a big Friday to Saturday fall...)With an estimated $14M Sunday from 3,419 theaters, including $7M worth of Thursday midnight shows, Twilight will end up with $72M for its first North American weekend in release. Fangirls -- or should I say fang-girls -- were buying 5 Twilight tickets per second as of early Friday morning, making it online ticket-seller Fandango's fastest-selling film since The Dark Knight last July. Then the tween and teen females in store bought or homemade Twilight clothes (and even Twilight tattoos) flocked to the first Big Screen version of Stephenie Meyer's bestselling series of Romeo & Juliet-style vampire romance books. Yet the movie adaptation was made by start-up studio Summit for only $37M. This will be the start of a big new franchise since a sequel is already in the works -- New Moon, based on Meyer's second book in the series. The first box office records have already been broken by Twilight's girl power. This is the biggest opening for a female director. Catherine Hardwicke is easily beating Mimi Leder's $41.1M for 1998's Deep Impact. (But with an asterisk since these figures aren't adjusted for inflation, ticket prices, etc.) Twilight will have the 2nd best opening day for a November release behind Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire, and the 11th best Friday opening of all time, beating the first Harry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone, and the 15th best opening day ever. It's a defining moment for Summit's start-up studio that had really struggled on its first few releases. On Saturday morning, Summit officially announced the greenlight for the New Moon sequel (I'm told to contain costs the studio is considering making sequels #2 and #3 back to back like other successful franchises have done), and Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart formally thanked fans for their support of what is now a movie franchise.

No. 2 was the new Bond pic Quantum Of Solace which was down 68% from its franchise record opening a week ago to earn $8.5M Friday from 3,458 venues. But its take jumped to $11.6M Saturday for a $27M weekend and new North American cume past $110M (passing $100M Saturday in just 6 days time). Going into Friday, Daniel Craig's 2nd turn as 007 has made $335M worldwide. The actioner opened in Australia and Spain to the biggest Bond openings ever. So MGM/Sony are looking at an overseas weekend in the high $30sM which will put international over $300M for a staggering $415M worldwide through Sunday.

Because Twilight played much younger than expected Friday, it took "that extra bite right out of Bolt," according to one studio mogul. As a result, Disney's toon starring the voices of John Travolta and Miley Cyrus debuted Friday with only $7M from 3,651 runs. But Saturday kiddie matinees came through for the pooch pic which gained 62% to earn $11.2M and a $27 million weekend for a close No. 3 even if less than expected. This family fare had the largest digital 3D release ever, opening at approximately 979 Digital 3D locations. Last Saturday, the studio sneaked the pic at around 880 theaters to build word of mouth.

DreamWorks Animation's toon sequel Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa distributed by Paramount came in No. 4 with $3.5M Friday and $6.7M Saturday from 4,007 dates for a $14.6M weekend a fresh $136M cume. And Universal's raunchy R-rated comedy Role Models continues to surprise by outperforming: at #5, it took in $1.5M Friday and $2.8 Saturday from 2,733 plays for a $6.8M weekend a new cume of $47.6M.

Oscar-touted Slumdog Millionaire expanded into 32 venues for a projected $938K weekend and 11th place. (The Fox Searchlight pic opened last Wednesday on 10 screens and this Wednesday grossed +54% on the same 10 screens. As one insider told me, "That never happens. As a point of reference, even Juno last year didn’t do this.") The pic had the 2nd best per screen average Friday behind only Twilight.

"Twilight" star Rob Pattinson was only a short time into his heartthrob publicity tour when he arrived in Philadelphia last week, and the magnitude of his role as teenage vampire Edward Cullen was already getting to him.

Not quite a typical It guy, the 22-year-old actor wasn't exactly oozing charisma or confidence.

In two hours he would be facing 1,000 shrieking fans at the King of Prussia Mall, but in his suite at the Four Seasons Hotel he cringed at every mention of the word fame.

The London-born actor bashfully stared at the floor and ran his fingers through his now infamous hair as he answered questions about the cultlike following of "Twilight"-obsessed teenage girls and their mothers.

"It's really strange when you go from like no one caring to people going like, 'Oh yeah, I saw that guy from 'Twilight' being an idiot.' I mean, it's strange," Pattinson mused. Refusing to make eye contact or even use the first person when discussing his outrageously successful press tour, Pattinson tried to disassociate himself from his character.

But that might be impossible.

Thanks to his role as Edward, Pattinson has already attracted a fan base of thousands of teenage girls willing to camp out in the rain for hours for a two-second encounter.

He is trying not to let it go to his head.

"So many young people who get a big hit kind of get hyped up," he said. "They start to believe their own hype and then everyone starts to, like, cut them down immediately. And I just feel like I'm being propelled by something I have absolutely no control over.

" . . . I always feel like I'm going to get my head cut off."

i kind of want to give this man a hug..Collapse )

Title: Addictions
Author: Lindseyfair
Characters/Pairings: Edward/Bella mostly, some Alice/Jasper, eventually Emmett/Rosalie
Rating: Overall M for Mature, adult themes and content. (Would you expect anything less from me.)
Category: Hurt/Comfort, Romance
Spoilers: None really, would be nice if you've at least read “Twilight” to get the basic character content.
This is Alternate Universe and is All Human.
Summary: Separately, Edward and Bella's lives are at a crossroads, tortured by the decisions they've made in their past. When they are re-united after ten years, will they find comfort in the arms of an old friend or just trade one addiction for another? Of course it's OCC, way more for Bella than Edward.
Disclaimer: I wish I owned Edward, but alas it wasn't meant to be. All credit goes to Stephenie Meyer.

Riding high off the success of her hit movie “Twilight,” actress Kristen Stewart ventured out with her father, TV Producer John Stewart, for a bite to eat in Los Angeles on Sunday (November 23).

The 18-year-old cutie and her pops opted for some delicious Japanese cuisine, grabbing up a meal at Kabuki Sushi restaurant before heading out to pick up their ride at valet.

Fang fans won’t have to wait long for more — the studio is already moving forward with the follow-up. Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg has signed on to pen “New Moon” and possible third installment “Eclipse,” and star Robert Pattinson said the “New Moon” script is ready to go.

“The script is already done for the second one,” he told the Seattle Times earlier this week, noting he’s signed on himself for two more movies.

Its about how Edwards secret about being a vampire is coming between them because he wont let Bella in or the storyline is just to the songwords lol. Character(s): All major characters (and some minor) from Breaking Dawn
Pairing: Bella/Edward
Rating: M for Mature
Total Length: 12,981 (so far: 5 chapters)
Spoilers: Must have read Breaking Dawn for any of this to make sense; Midnight Sun partial draft wouldn't be a bad idea either.
Disclaimer: I don't own anything Stephenie Meyer created.  If I did, I would not be wasting my time on fanfiction.  And Midnight Sun would have a publish date, too. Tons of angst, and the strange workings of Edward Cullen's mind... because he goes crazy in BD.  Really.

Summary: "There is a time in a man's life when he must swallow his pride and reveal all of himself to the woman he loves. Even if it hurts him.  Even if he thinks she may leave him. I would do anything to make sure my love, my wife, would be happy. And alive."

According to  www.mi6.co.uk/news/index.php Twilight has made 8.1 million internationally.

Domestic sensation “Twilight” showed plenty of life in a limited foreign launch with $8.1 million at 1,282 for a solid $6,311 per-location average. Summit’s vampire romancer opened in a quintet of markets, led by $4.35 million in Italy -- 10% above the “Solace” launch two weeks ago -- and $2.65 million in Mexico.

Considering it hasn't been released in many countries yet, I'd say that's pretty good.

edit: it's now reported to have opened to 9.6 million

There was a blurb on/about Kristen too but I couldn't find it on the website. Anyway, it's just a cute little thing.

How long does it take to get your hair perfectly coiffed like that?
I just wear a hat a lot. I have so much residue crap in my hair from years and years and years of not washing it and not having any sense of personal hygiene whatsoever. ... Even today, I go into these things where I'm supposed to be this sexy guy or whatever, and I'm literally asking [the studio rep], "If I get plumes of dandruff on me, can you just brush it off?"
