Catherine talks about Rob @ NJ Convention

Catherine Hardwicke was today at the New Jersey Twilight Convention and she shared some fun facts about Rob.

- At teen choice Rob told Catherine that he borrowed Marcus fosters shirt that marcus wore the night before b/c rob had no clean clothes

- Rob recorded let me sign while watching the cut of the scene and pegged the song to what he was seeing on screen emotionally

- At Robs audition he still had Dali hair, a stained tee shirt and wasn't toned. Studio said are you sure you can make this guy look good

- Rob originally saw that fans hated him as a casting choice and Catherine told him hang in there and trust me and said stay offline. Rob said my mother sent it to me. Catherine said stop opening emails from your mother

- She had Rob put extentions in his hair and he hated them.

- Says she would have filmed some dream sequnces if there had been money.

And just because it's Edward related

- Kristen auditioned with Jackson on the adventureland set

I think its hilarious he had no clean clothes the night of the TCAs and had to leave the next day to go to Vancouver! lmao

1. I love that Rob borrowed a shirt instead of going out and buying one. Even if it wasn't clean...something about me just loves that he doesn't even think about what he's going to wear until the day of the awards.

2. The image I have of him at the audition is so funny. It sounds like he was super lucky to get the part and much of the reason must have been that he didn't put all the pressure on himself to look perfect because he really didn't believe he had a chance. It was definitely his acting with Kristen that got him the part and not his looks (at the time).

3. Rob with extensions? no thank you.

4. I don't know why dream sequences take precedence over more Bella/Edward dialogue/falling in love scenes.

Aww fun tidbits. I knew most of them, but still. "Stop opening emails from your mother!" HAHAHA. :D

I owe Catherine a lot for sticking to her guns with her decision on Rob. I would have only known him from HP if it hadn't been from her... and a world without Robert Pattinson just sounds sad to me these days.

Yes, I realize I sound like a 24 yr old stalker, but it's true. The boy smiles and he radiates joy. Not to mention how multi-talented he is. W

e love him as him and as Edward. :D So thanks Catherine!

well, first of all, i love that picture of catherine and rob! so cute. don't they look like they could trully be good friends?!
second, i love that he was all Dali'd up during his audition. lol forever!!!
third, Edward with long hair!? wtf, cat!!!?? shes one wild girl, but i love her. (and i actually read about that in the Twilight Directors Notebook.
and lastly, i love that kris auditioned with jackson during adventureland! hahaha thats awesome.


side note: has anyone listened to the adventureland commentary?! please do! its so good!
