New Moon trailer commentary/pretty HQ screen caps

I tend to over analyze the c-r-a-p out of movies, and trailers are definitely no different. Here is my analyzation of the new New Moon Trailer...with screen caps of course, from the HD trailer on MySpace.

Yay! No blue tint as previously established from the 15 preview from ET. I know Forks is supposed to be the rainiest place in the USA but Twilight with the "constant cover of cloud and rain" and the blue tint of failtastic proportions, it was just effin depressing.


I like how they have the Swan house in an actual street instead pushed off into the mud as was in Twilight. The house lights are on and it looks friendly and welcoming.


Thank you, Bella, for asking for what you want. And the added eyebrow raise is perfect. The other thing that is perfect is how distant Edward already looks. Of course, this is after the birthday fiasco of epic proportions. Rob does a great job of looking so distant. There is so much on Edward's mind, in more way than one, and he is about to make the hardest decision of his life.


THANK YOU props department/set designers! This house, so far, is perfect! To me, this looks like Carlisle's office, with the desk and paintings on the wall. The room looks modern yet it still has an old world feel. The Cullens are old world, if mostly Carlisle. The impressionist paintings are a nice touch. Like Carlisle would have collected these from around Europe.


LOVED this scene. Not much really to say except this:
"You're my only reason to stay...alive. If that's what I am."


Let's work this scene from left to right.
ALL HAIL QUEEN BITCH FACE! Now, I know some people don't like Nikki as Rosalie, but this scene/look looks like Rosalie to me. Still hatin' (or really, loathing) on Bella. Still thinking her shit doesn't stink. Now, Esme. EReaser does a great job as Esme. She's so loving and smiley and genuinely happy that Bella is there (unlike Queen Bitch Face). And Alice. To me, AGreene is Alice. She is exactly how Alice should be. And she's using Bella's gift from Charlie and Renee, the camera, to capture every moment.


I title this...perfection. Perfect candles. Perfect flowers. Perfect Alice.


Ok, left to right again.
Helllo, Dr. Carlisle Cullen! Nice! And Esme...that's a GQ couple right there. Jasper. Still standing as far away from Bella as he can, and in military stance no less. Ok, so the hair is a little...meh...but everything else is top notch. Edward is smiling at Alice because she is so excited about everything, and he loves it.


In an interview, PFacinelli said that he and Kellan had to physically hold Jackson back during this scene. Although we don't get to see it I have a feeling that he was right, by this reaction alone.


Jasper looks like he is out for the kill. LOVE it!
But wait...why are Emmett and Rosalie just standing there? Like nothing is happening?


This scene is great! The wire works are a lot better than in Twilight. Carlisle is pushing Esme aside and going to help Bella. And E/R are still standing there. But I would like to think that Emmett is thinking "OOOH! FIGHT!" in his head right about now.


I am really glad Bella's arm got sliced because (I hope) this sets the scene for Carlisle and Bella's immortality conversation while he stitches her arm up. I would be really upset if that scene didn't make it into the movie. *edit: in the next scene, the shot of Edward's face with Rosalie over his shoulder, you can see Emmett is missing.*


Bella's makeup looks so much better than it did in Twilight. She looks human!


Through this entire conversation, Edward doesn't look at Bella. He can't. Very nice job on Rob's part.


Edward STILL can't look at Bella. Even when he is kissing her goodbye. *heart breaks*


I really like this and how they didn't show us more in the trailer. I hope in the movie she starts to cry as the rain begins to fall...


Commence girl crushing sequence in 3...2... Kristen looks beautiful here! Props again to the makeup department. Bella looks tired, and haggard, yet we can still tell she is human...even though all that's left is the shell of one. And props to the person in a post on L_L who said that meadow is dead, like it should be. It represents so much for Bella, Bella and Edward, and Edward at that point and time.


Whether you hate Taylor/Taycob/Jacob/Failcob or whatever you want to call him...Boy is looking FINE.


I call this the OH SHIT moment. The nomad/Volturi contacts look so much better than in Twilight. Yeah, they are supposed to be dark but they are supposed to be creepy as all get out. In Twilight, I felt like the Nomads could put on a pair of shoes and walk out in public, blaming their red eyes on some genetic weirdness. Laurent in NM...if I saw him in public, I would probably be freaked the eff out.


Whoever said that KStew can't show emotion needs to see this scene again.

Breakdown of the Wolf Transformation

Jacob and the tat.


We see a paw and a head of a wolf coming out.


I am so glad they remembered his clothes shredding!


This is just too good...


This is just too brilliant! I wish, though, we could tell the size of the wolf in comparison to Bella but he's in crouch position and Bella is too far away.
