Eclipse movie release date: June 30th 2010!



EXCLUSIVE: I've confirmed there's no director hired yet. And the two productions won't be back-to-back. But that hasn't stopped Summit Entertainment from newly scheduling its Twilight threequel for release on June 30, 2010, not long after its Twilight sequel New Moon set for November 20th this year now being helmed by Chris Weitz. Summit also officially changed the name of its vampire movie franchise based on Stephenie Meyer's bestselling series of novels to The Twilight Saga. Here's how Summit descibes the plot of the threequel Eclipse:

"As Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob — knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella has one more decision to make: life or death."

There's no way in hell. If they AREN'T filming back to back, then they have absolutly no chance for this release date. MAYBE, like december or november 2010 but definitly not june.

Well that's just wonderful.....Summit, make sure you film Eclipse in a big effing hurry so it turns out really crappy ok? They should just film both New Moon and Eclipse simultaneously. It makes more sense to do it that way.

I don't mind NM and Eclipse being filmed back to back. I mean, the actors are gonna start looking older. Might as well move on with it. Plus, I can't wait for Eclipse!

I'm happy, and not happy.

I'm happy because it's going to come out BEFORE November.

I'm not happy because Weitz wont be doing CGI for Eclipse. If he's doing post production for New Moon, then CGI for Eclipse will be different. Yuck.

Srsly? New Moon and Eclipse are not going to be filmed back to back, yet Eclipse will come out soon after....

Are they crazy? Why are they putting so much pressure on this?

Wow... we are going to have a tired ass cast. I can already see them, promoting endlessly...
I feel sorry for them.

I'm really curious, they already have dates and plots and directors, but they DON'T HAVE ACTORS YET.
